[ The boy gestures and pats his leg, trying to convince Dog to come into view. And the animal does, keeping his head lowered but steady, sporting the nice, fancy, original parisian beret.
He looks very put off by it. Adam, on the other hand, smiles real bright.]
[Aziraphale beams when Dog comes trotting along.] Wonderful! He looks terribly chic.
[Just as planned. Sorry, Dog. But the angel transfers his gaze and his smile to the boy instead.] You're very welcome. I'm glad you like them! The chocolates are particularly good. I did sample some before I made my choices.
[Important to be an informed consumer, after all.] Just don't eat them all at once. I think that's the conventional wisdom.
[ Wait. While Adam could definitely go on about Jane’s really good drawings, there’s at least two major things right there that catch the boy’s attention.
But, of course, his primary focus is in the cooler thing. Although, you know, other people would probably hold them both at the same standard.]
[ To be entirely honest, Adam was pen of the many people that weren't quite following Aziraphale's story back on that day. But maybe he'll hear it in full at some point.

[ He turns to look at Dog, who is now sitting, free of the blasted beret that now sits on the floor. But not for long, because Adam pulls a face, huffs in an amused manner and crouches so that he can put it back on Dog’s head.
Serving the Antichrist doesn’t have a lot of downs, but the poor animal would have to count this as one of them.]
[This is where Aziraphale doesn't bother to hide his smile at poor Dog's plight. Sorry, Dog. But it's very fashionable. He looks back up to Adam at the question, considering.]
Theoretically, I suppose. Never tried it though. I'm fairly partial to this form. It's comfortable.
[He looks down at himself, tugging his waistcoat back into place even if it wasn't really out of place to begin with.] I think that sort of thing may come more naturally to demons. Or maybe just to Crowley.
[He waves a hand vaguely in a gesture that means a great deal of nothing.] Angels are... well. We're not corporeal beings by nature. We tend to favor the vaguely human-shaped these days though. Makes things easier.
[Interacting with humanity, relating to humanity. Honestly the whole aesthetic just flows well if they're all around the same shape. Made in Her image, as man was.]
[ Not corporeal. That sounds really weird. Makes him think of ghosts. But, then, there’s also stories about how when people die, and they’ve been good, they go to heaven, so he guesses that would make them ghosts too. But with wings.
Doesn’t sound like Aziraphale is a ghost with wings though.]
What do you really look like, then? When you’re not in this form?
[Well ghost with or without wings isn't wrong. That was basically his state when he was unexpected discorporated. But, back in the oldest of times, at their very nature.]
It's difficult to describe. It's more... conceptual.
[Form. Is a funny thing for beings that don't necessarily have to take form. That can be smaller than subatomic particles or well, frighteningly large at whim.]
Remaining human shaped, generally, it's probably a good change. There's something to be said for form and its effect on the overall being.
[ Adam doesn't really get all of that. It sounds interesting, yes, but they're strange concepts to a boy that almost exclusively knows about being a human. ]
