[For Niceandgloomy] Peculiar children
When Adam told his parents he made a new friend at the fair, and that she invited him to go to her house, they found it quite sweet that the boy made a new friend, specially one that had just moved into the area. When they saw the rather peculiar car park out in front of their home, Mr. Young remarked how it was quite the flashy vehicle, clearly a vintage job, and planned to talk to the driver about it more than he actually could understand. But when a tall, very tall, pale, sunken eyed man climbed out of it, it's fair to say the wind was easily knocked out of his sails. Furthermore, when the well suited man and the severe-looking woman climbed out of the back seat, Mr. and Mrs. Young really did not know what to make of them.
The men shook hands, and Mr. Young tried not to stare too long at the intimidating driver. Mrs. Young made polite conversation, and while she was quite unsure about letting her child go with these peculiar characters, she soon found they were nothing if not polite, despite their...oddities, and stark contrast with the very peaceful, serene and normal scenario.
Words were exchanged, confusing as they were, address details were given, and invitations for dinner were eagerly offered, sometime, just stop on by. Adam watched the entire meeting go down with absolute delight, and further wondering just how strange the rest of her family must be.
As they arrive to the estate, Adam is entirely fascinated at the sheer spookiness of the spot, as it simply grows stronger the closer they get, even in the bright day light.
The boy stands by the gate, Dog by his feet, both looking up at the mansion. "Wow." He comments genuinely. "It looks like the haunted mansion at the fair. But bigger."

"Oh. Sorry about that. But you get to stay here, right?" In this spooky, very ghost-apt manor. "Is he here too?"
no subject
"If he wants to see them, I'll take him," she said, evenly.

The hellhound's eyes are glued to the deceased children, wondering just how these souls haven't made their way upwards or downwards. As far as he knows, these sorts of flukes aren't supposed to happen often, but this whole place smells rather...unique.

Edgar stared back at the hellhound, eyes unblinking. What a nice looking animal it was.

Dog continues to stare at Edgar, nose twitching idly as he tries to get some sort of scent. There is one, but not particularly pleasant. But, then, he's not a stranger to that.

Edgar reached forward, wanting to pet the animal in front of him.
Hi hello
"We could go spelunking." Although Adam didn't quite know what that word meant, only that it had something to do with caves, and that people usually wore helmets with little torches attached to them. "Is there anything else down there?" There could be, if he wanted.
